What We Do

The members of the nanomedicine project organization are focused on researching and developing new ways to improve healthcare and the treatment of disease. Our focus is based on both science & technology.

Nanotechnology is an interdisciplinary field unlike any other today. The field includes chemists, material scientists & engineers, biologists, technologists, electronics specialists and physicists. The field also includes life scientists, neuroscientists and many others.

The field has captured the attention of governments, businesses and universities. Billions of dollars is being allocated for research in electronics, quantum computing, food technologies, cosmetics, textiles and other areas of interest including of course nanomedicine.

Many breakthroughs are in the pipeline on the way to you. from treating cancer and other diseases. Nanomedicine uses special imaging techniques that are more effective than current dye or fluorescent methods.  Early diagnosis is critical in many disorders. The earlier we are aware of an illness the better the outcomes. Nanomedicine also uses special nanoparticles that carry life saving drugs to tissues and cells that have been damged by disease.

Whether a scientist or nonscientist we all must at some point in our lives address medical challenges. Nanomedicine offers the opportunities for you to lead a higher quality of life when you are faced with a difficult situation.

The GOLDEN AGE of Nanomedicine may yet be almost a decade away. However if we all work together the cures will soon be at your doorstep caring for a loved one.

What's New in Nanotech?

  The short answer is just about everything. Yet many innovations have led to hundreds of products that have already reached the market place. One truth that stands out is life science, biology and medicine have been engaged in work and study at the nanoscale for many decades. We have already published an online emailing newletter called the JOIST Newsletter. JOIST stands for the Journal Online of Interdisciplinary Science & Technology. Often we speak of science and technology as if they are interchangeable or mean the same thing. This isn't always the case, yet in nanotechnology this is  very much the new vision of our future. The fields of biotech, infotech and quantum technologies are merging into a field that even includes neuroscience. The driving force behind these very different fields is the emerging promise of nanotechnology.
